Hearing examiner to review geoduck harvest permits.

On August 24, the COBI Planning Department approved a shoreline conditional use permit (SCUP 15615) for the commercial harvest of geoduck clams from 709 acres of state-owned subtidal bedlands around Bainbridge Island. The BI Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing to consider a challenge to this permit at 9:00 AM on Thursday, Sept. 17, in the Council Chamber at City Hall.
