Ours is one of many groups that are working to promote an ethic which recognizes that human beings do use resources and virtue lies in avoiding unnecessary harm to the environment.
The Rockaway repair plan is nearly exactly what has been recommended by consultants to the council since 1997, at much lower cost estimates then. There is a lesson for the current and future councils here.
